My Little Charmer!

Quick Update On Christian! (Not only is he the worlds biggest flirt at the age of 2) but he is doing great!

He ended up having to stay over night but we were able to get confirmation that he has G.E.R.D. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) which is a condition in which the stomach contents (food or liquid) leak backwards from the stomach into the esophagus (the tube from the mouth to the stomach) and causes alot of pain and can damage the esophagus.

When Nicolas came to see him the next day, he ran immediately to Christian, climbed up on the bed and gave him the biggest hug. He pulled away and cupped Christian's face, gave him a big kiss and said " I Love you Christian". All on his own! Then Christian looked at him and said "We Go Home Ney-Ney" (thats what he calls Nicolas). And Nicolas said "Go Home". It was like two soulmates reunited! The beautiful bond of brothers!

Anyways, they did a PH probe where they put a tube in his nose, down his throat and to his stomach for 24 hours to see how much acid. The probe was the hardest part for him because he had to keep it in without pulling out. The nurses were amazed he kept it in for the 24 hours without his hands having to be boarded! It was horrible seeing him have it in and how uncomfortable it was for him. The worse was probably when he woke up from the procedure. HEART BREAKING! I stayed up all night, just praying and watching over him, thinking how blessed I am to have him. What a trooper he is. His biospies came back fine and we can help him not have pain with diet and medication!! ALL GREAT NEWS!! I think overall, the outcome will be great for our whole family because we will be eating a much healthier diet!

He was such a charmer at the hospital and all the nurses fell in love with him!He has already gained 1/2 lb in the past two weeks!!! Go- Christian - Go!!
