Big Boys
Our big boys moved from their highchairs to their booster seats and they love it!!!Aunt Deb and Aunt Di also got them their little chairs for Christmas. Christian not feeling so great but happy to have his new chair to lay in!
Having Twins is the Best!
I love having two little boys at the same age- especially this age. Simply the best. It is so special seeing their bond development and how they treasure each other. Everyday, they do something so sweet that it brings tears to our eyes. They love holding hands when they go places. Yesterday I took Christian for a walk by himself and on our way home Ken took Nicolas out to see us and when Nicolas saw us, he came running as fast as he could....calling for Christian. Yes, it is hard work juggling two little guys and giving them my whole being to balance the attention to help them grow to be happy little men......and I don't have much of a life right now but it is so worth it when I see how happy they are and how much love they have for each other and us. Today Nicolas walked up to me, gave me a big hug and said "love u mommy"! I just melted and I couldn't hold back the tears. That first year was such a blur for us, now I can actually take the time and enjoy every moment with them. THANK GOODNESS it is getting EASIER!!!
Holiday Parade
I can't even begin to explain the complete JOY Ken and I felt when we took the boys to their first holiday parade! We were hesitant because it was at bedtime and it was cold here, but we bundled up and did it! The boys were in their glory, they laughed throughout most of the evening and loved all the lights, noises and entertainment. Their favorite part of the whole parade was the motorcycle's! We stopped for pizza on the way back which would make any Friday night perfect in our family!

Cutest Boys Ever
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
The boys are officially 19 months!
I feel so blessed for every part of our life this year ( yes...cheesy and I am always tired) but it seems like this year has been so happy and I have so much to be grateful for, especially with Ken and my boys ! Each day keeps getting better and better. We had the best Thanksgiving ( other than really missing my dad) and we were able to share it with both sides of the family at our house this year. Boys loved seeing all their family! I love starting new traditions with the boys! As you can see below...boys are getting ready for the cooler weather!

The Dominant Twin
Is it really true that there is always a dominant twin? These guys seem to take on that role and go back and forth week to week. However, with language I noticed that Christian wants to say everything first...well...should I say just talks or tries non stop. When you ask them what something is or a question such as what sound does the pig make...he always jumps the gun! I have been working with trying to let Nicolas speak first... but can't figure out how to teach Christian to wait a second...any suggestions? Nicolas doesn't seem to mind and follows his lead or sometimes just smiles that his brother has answered. I do work with Nicolas if I get alone time. We took a survey recently at dinner that I had with other twin moms and we all found that the child that was born second seems to be more dominant ( Christian). Strange!!! I pretty much have only identified it more recently with language.

Twin Climbing at 18 months
I haven't posted in awhile because these little guys have gotten so active and have really been keeping me on my toes! Well, last night the boys really mastered climbing! I know we have been very fortunate that it has not occurred until they were 18 months but let me just say "THANK-GOODNESS" it just started! Today was NUTS!! As I was walking into our family room from the kitchen- taking about 5 minutes to warm up their lunch, I caught Christian jumping on one couch and Nicolas was up on the same couch - crawled over the end table and as I walked in- was making his way over to the other couch! This has been going on all day. Trying to discipline two at once is insane. They see each other, laugh and then make their move! Over and over. I think I got the biggest workout of my life today. I even fell asleep with them this morning at their morning nap and we all slept for 2 hours! I thought that maybe they would forget they learned this last night- no way!! They are so excited about it! Wish me luck for the next few days (but it fun to see them so excited and laughing - makes it is hard not to laugh and discipline). More photos to come!

Pumpkin Fest Boys First Pony Ride
We went several pumpkin festivals/patches this year with the boys. It was so much fun - kind of odd going to a "fall tradition" in hot Florida but we lucked out at one with cool weather. Below is the pumpkin hunt (like egg hunt) which was funny because the pumpkins were so small and were basically hidden on top of the grass. They were plastic and about 1 inch. The other photos are of Hunsaders Farm. This was the first time they rode the horses. I can't believe how blessed I am that these two little guys are my beautiful sons!

The boys
Buddies in Australia
When I was pregnant with the boys I was always on the computer because I was on bed rest most of my pregnancy. Anyways, I had joined a twin web/posting for people with twins all over the world and I formed a bond with some of the moms expecting twins at the same time as the boys. I know it probably sounds weird but I developed a cool relationship with a family in Australia and we have stayed in touch and help each other with ideas. They have two fraternal boys and I feel like I know them so well, even though we are half way around the world! Gotta love the world of computers. I don't know why I wanted to blog about that but I love to look at their blog and see what cool things they are doing in Australia, especially with their beautiful boys Ethan and Benjamin! Check out their blog- it is so cute.

Diggers, Trucks and 4- Wheelers
What a lucky day for the boys! In my last blog I wrote Nicolas is absolutely into diggers and trucks. It just happened that today our neighbor across the street was having his lawn replaced and we had permission to let the boys explore. Then they went on an adventure on their little 4- wheelers. I couldn't believe the difference in them driving compared to last time. This time they drove them all by themselves! They were in SHEAR JOY TONIGHT with these two activities. Luckily the trucks will still be here tomorrow- however Nicolas will want to stand by the door and look at them all afternoon!!
4-Wheels!
